At The Nefesh Center, we believe healing is not one-dimensional — it’s the restoration of mind, soul, and finances. Many people seek therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, or low self-esteem, yet still feel something is missing. Emotional wounds often show up in how we see ourselves, how we relate to others, and even how we manage money. True wholeness requires care that goes beyond the surface.
That’s where we come in.
Founded by Rachel Dufresne, LCSW, The Nefesh Center was created to bridge the gap between mental health, emotional wellness, and financial well-being — helping clients heal from the inside out. We serve adolescents, adults, and couples who are ready to move from surviving to thriving by addressing root causes, not just symptoms.
Hello, my name is Rachel Dufresne, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and founder of The Nefesh Center. I have over seven years of experience supporting individuals and families through every stage of life, helping them navigate challenges with compassion, practical tools, and faith-based guidance.
I began my career in the school system as an Itinerant Mental Health Coordinator, working with at-risk youth across elementary, middle, and high schools. During this time, I developed a deep appreciation for early intervention and holistic care, providing individual and family therapy, suicide risk assessments, and multi-tiered support.
Transitioning into private practice, I’ve supported adolescents, adults, and couples facing depression, anxiety, trauma, and low self-esteem. I believe that restoring self-worth is often the first step toward transforming every aspect of life.
To provide compassionate, trauma-informed therapy, evaluations, and financial coaching that nurture the soul, restore self-worth, and empower lasting healing.
To see individuals and families thrive through holistic, faith-integrated care — where emotional, spiritual, and financial well-being work together to create wholeness and peace.
We believe true healing integrates mind, heart, and spirit. Through faith-based, trauma-informed care, we guide each person toward growth, balance, and purposeful living.
